Four hooves. One heart.

Steven Smith graduated from the Oregon State University Farrier School in 1980. He's a Master Farrier who says he's still learning every chance he gets. He enjoys continuing education opportunities across the US.

His sons, Matthew and Robert, soon followed in his footsteps, graduating in 2002 and 2005. After becoming apprentices, they sought positions in Oklahoma and California, learning new techniques and technologies. After advancing to Journeyman Farriers, they both decided to join forces with their father.

Matt specializes in barefoot trimming. He believes that many horses do well without shoes, if their feet are balanced correctly.

He is trained to analyze the horse's conformation and the needs of the owner to craft a suitable plan of care for every situation.

Rob has traveled to Austria to learn about SnapOns, a new type of foot protection. He is now a licensed distributor, and is truly excited about this new innovation.
